My Kitchen is a straightforward, counter-order Chinese restaurant tucked into the Fry's parking lot at Cooley Station in Gilbert. It caters well to those seeking authentic, home-style flavors without the fuss of full-service dining. The interior is clean and modest, with simple seating that places the focus squarely on the food rather than decor, making it a practical stop for a casual lunch or dinner.

The menu leans on familiar Chinese-American favorites alongside some traditional touches, with highlights like Wonton Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, and sizeable options such as Mongolian Beef Fried Rice or various Chow Fun and Lo Mein dishes. Portions seem generous enough for sharing or a hearty solo meal, fitting well for families or anyone who enjoys customizable takeout orders. Vegetarians and those with dietary concerns can find options like Vegetable Chow Fun or the ability to ask about ingredients, which staff appear happy to clarify.

Service here is notably attentive for a counter-order spot — staff are patient and helpful, especially with specific allergies or picky eaters, which creates a sense of comfort for visitors who might be cautious about trying new dishes. The pace is efficient but unhurried, and your order is brought to the table, so you’re not left to juggle trays or stand in awkward spots.

This is the kind of place locals might drop into after work or a weekend errand run when craving something flavorful yet uncomplicated. It’s especially suited for families or small groups who want authentic tastes without the need for a formal sit-down experience. The reliable freshness and no-frills environment suggest it works well for regular visits rather than special occasions.

For those heading over, midday lunch or early evening can be quieter times to avoid the brief rushes, and the parking is convenient thanks to its location near grocery and retail spots. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or settling in for some comforting Chinese classics like the Orange Beef or Chicken with Mixed Vegetables and Fried Rice, My Kitchen presents a straightforward, honest dining option tucked into a busy suburban strip.

Mykitchen is truly a hidden gem! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The staff are warm, attentive, and make you feel at home every time. The atmosphere is cozy, and you can tell they put their heart into everything they do. Definitely one of the best dining experiences in town — highly recommend!

Me and my husband came to Arizona to visit family and decided to stop at this restaurant for dinner. I have a very severe tree nut allergy and asked the lady at the counter if there were any tree nuts in the Kung Pao Chicken and she was very kind and helpful in reassuring me that the dish didn't have any, but that there were peanuts in it. She was also patient with my husband as he is very picky about what food he gets, and decided to order the Orange Chicken. 10/10 would come back again if I'm ever back in the state.

YOU GUYS! What a little gem this is! Located at Cooley Station, in the Fry's parking lot, this place is just going to continue to get more and more popular as this area grows so GET. IN. HERE. NOW! It's fast casual, in that you counter order, however, they serve you your food at the table. The atmosphere is pretty stark and plain but it's the seating is nice and it's a clean dining room. The food is served on nice ceramic ware, the forks are a black metal and the water glasses are stainless steel. We showed up before 5 pm on a Saturday and there was no one in the dining room. Within 30 minutes of our being there, every table was taken. CONSTANT takeout traffic. Friendly staff! The food: the least exciting dish were the egg rolls. They were just okay. The filling was somewhat bland and the outside didn't seem as crisp as it should. They were 'fine'...the rest was BOMB! Three of us shared: shrimp lo mein, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, General Tso's chicken and white rice. The spiciest of these was a the Mongolian beef, the shrimp in the lo mein were prepared to perfection and the fried rice looked like it could be flavorless but it was not. I would rank the General Tso's on the lower end of my favorites. Some of the chicken seemed a little tough for me. Overall, this was a great dining experience and we look forward to returning and trying some new dishes!

The food was very good. I loved the black dishes and cups. The egg rolls were super crispy and very good. They have duck sauce which I love on my egg roll and not all restaurants carry that. The chicken with mixed vegetables and the fried rice were excellent.

Update 6/2/2025 I believe there are two reviewers who are working together for defamation of character of a person who works there. Gregory Patterson and Michele Fernandez must know each other. When you have the vindictiveness and energy to not only bad reviews on Google but also on Yelp that screams of pettiness and absolute entitlement. In short, they have a very clear agenda. According to our 2024 taxes of our household, we spent over $1000 in food at my kitchen. This isn't a place that we not only frequent It's a place that we love. I've worked my way up in restaurants from when I was a dishwasher to a short order cook to full cook to manager. What I learned from not only being in the kitchen but being a manager among the customers is that you keep in mind there's some customers who absolutely do not need. You can do without their business because they damage the staff. They damage the very machinery that allows you to serve food and stay in business. You wouldn't allow someone to take a hammer to your delivery vehicles and smash out the windows and then apologize to them. I've had customers tell me that the waitresses were rude only to observe them touching them in areas of the body that are extremely personal. They feel entitled to do whatever they want for what because they're the customer and the customer is always right? 90% of the time my interaction has been with Stephanie and as a 54-year-old man with 30 years of customer service she is excellent. The one thing I noticed that she does do is that she doesn't touch the credit card. She rings up the sum of the food and then spins around the point of sale system and says please insert your card. I've had my card stolen four times over the years at different restaurants. I believe that this is a very smart direction not only in security but quality control. In legal terms they call it "chain of custody". I don't know who taught her this, but I'm glad the staff adopted this practice. The restaurant is always clean, the floors are always clean, the silverware and plates are always clean. The music is never too loud It's always at the right level. When I've spoken to the staff they look me in the eye and never on their cell phones. Since the pandemic happened, it feels that people's entitlement over people in the service industry has gone to a level of complete and total disregard. Not even treating people like they're human, but they're objects. A few years ago I was having breakfast at Liberty market in downtown Gilbert. The eggs that were delivered to me were burnt. It was a busy morning I could see the kitchen and they were getting slammed. A very polite waitress came back to fill up my coffee I asked her could I please send my eggs back, they're burnt on both sides. She apologized with a smile and said I'll have these back to you in a moment. When she brought them back they were still burnt but different eggs. I didn't have time. I left her a tip, paid my bill and left. That night I left a very detailed review about how to cook eggs and depending on what medium you're using dictates how hot the grill should be. I was not rude in my review I just stated the facts. In the morning I woke up to a message from the owner asking me to please come back for better made eggs. To let me know when I was going to be there he wanted to meet me. So I did come back and the eggs were much better and we had a conversation just like this. Not all customers are right and you can afford to lose bad customers. He told me he had his cooks read the review and they told him the feedback was valuable. Especially the part of adding a little bit of water to not burn the eggs. I rewrote the entire review to Liberty market because they learned something from a customer. The narrative of these one star customers screams entitlement and forethought of damage to the staff and a solid character of the business. Goodnight, Jason

I've been ordering from here for years, and recently placed a large Uber Eats order... no joke, Uber Eats ONLY delivered me the sauce and no food at all. The restaurant and their team made sure to take care of me by personally delivering it to my residence. Mind-blowing service and above and beyond experience. Food is delicious of course too. Don't think twice... order from here. Trust me, you won't regret it.
